3DSS-DX-450-AUV incorporates a patented signal processing methodology that extends the single angle-of-arrival principle used in interferometric systems to accommodate multiple simultaneous backscatter arrivals (e.g. the seabed, sea surface, water-column, and multipath). The result is superior wide swath bathymetry and true 3D sidescan imaging and from a compact, easy-to-use sonar.

The DX-450-AUV provides multi-angle imaging to unmanned platforms over ultra-wide swath. Low logistics operation and low power requirements make the 3DSS-DX-450 AUV package the perfect sonar to provide wide swath 3D imagery on unmanned platforms from the surf zone to 4km below the surface.

Bundled with the 3DSS-DX-450-AUV is a feature-rich software suite allowing users to take full advantage of the sensors capabilities without additional third-party software. Some of the features provided include:

  • Raw-data visualization in both high-resolution 3D point cloud and traditional 2D sidescan formats.
  • Full control over sonar operating parameters including range, transmit pulse, gain settings, and more.
  • Raw-data recording for future playback or post processing in third party applications.
  • Bathymetric chart display overlaying pitch-corrected bathymetry onto a user provided navigational chart.
  • Target-capture and measurement capabilities.

The 3DSS-DX-450-AUV is also compatible with popular third-party applications such as Hypack, SonarWiz, CARIS, and QINSy.
